OpenSea NFT Marketplace Adds Support for Optimism – OP Token Cost Forecast

Leading non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace OpenSea has launched support for that Optimism blockchain, enabling the combination of popular collections for example Apetimism, Bored Town, MotorHeadz, and OptiChads inside the platform.

“You are now able to purchase and sell your preferred Optimism NFTs on @opensea. The good thing: knowing OpenSea activity on Optimism funds a sustainable future for Ethereum,” the blockchain tweeted. “Having the biggest NFT marketplace on Optimism will probably be absolutely massive for Optimism’s creators, collectors, and NFT” fans.

Optimism was built like a scalable L2 blockchain by Ethereum developers. The blockchain’s creators claim “Optimism takes all you love about Ethereum and turbocharges it. Ethereum tooling ‘just works’ on every degree of the stack. Transactions are cheap and nearly instant.”

Because of the most recent development, OpenSea is adding support towards the sixth blockchain, with Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Klaytn, and Arbitrum already covered through the platform. 

By 08:00 a.m. UTC, some 100 Optimism-based NFT collections were available to buy at OpenSea. The biggest buying and selling volume was as reported by Early Optimists, at ETH 534, Positive Explorer, with ETH 175, and OP Orcas, at ETH 76, correspondingly, based on data released through the marketplace.

Before the expansion, a lion’s share of Optimism NFT trade had place within Quix, a marketplace focused on the blockchain. 

By 08:20 a.m. UTC, the blockchain’s native Optimism (OP) token traded at roughly $.88, lower 9.13% more than a 24-hour period, per CoinMarketCap.com data. This stated, an analysis by industry site CoinCodex.com shows that “the worth of Optimism is anticipated to increase by 7.00% and achieve $.937831 by October 3, 2022.”
