On Tuesday, Sky Mavis, creator from the popular fantasy monster-fight nonfungible token (NFT) game Axie Infinity, announced it had recognized the very first user-produced projects in the Axie Infinity Builders Program. From 2,000 applications posted, just 12 were selected for that Builders Program.
One of many perks, selected teams will get the absolute minimum $10,000 grant — denominated in Axie Infinity’s governance token, Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) — to finance project development. They’ll also receive permission to monetize their game while using Axie Infinity brand having a revenue-share model. Notable projects include Across Lunacia, a platforming adventure for Axie NFTs, and Mech Infinity, a fight royale game involving Axies as well as their unique abilities.
