British Luxury Firm Abandoned Post-Bitcoin Scam

As reported by the reports from the London suit, Graff Diamonds, an english luxury jewellery firm, has compensated $7.5 million in Bitcoin to several Russian online hackers to complete in the dripping from the company’s private data. Based on reports, the jewellery firm filed a situation against their insurer, The Travelers Companies working in london High Court, to be reluctant to pay the firm’s loss in the ransom.

A Graff official lately expressed the insurer’s action as very frustrated and disappointed, because they declined to pay for.

The state also added:

The crooks threatened targeted publication in our customers’ private purchases. I was going to take all possible steps to safeguard their interests and thus negotiated a repayment which effectively neutralized that threat.

Prey to Bitcoin Scammers’ Threat

Last September, the Conti ransomware group hacked the jewellery and leaked data of some royal families in the centre East. The cybercriminals apologized to Graff’s royal clients from Saudi Arabia, but later they stated that they are searching to leak more secret data. Based on reports from the year before, the attackers also hacked the files regarding famous personalities for example Jesse Trump, Oprah, and David Beckham.

The Conti online hackers required the Graff for $15 million in Bitcoin. But on November 3, 2021, the jewellery had compensated $7.5 million in Bitcoin for them, up to 50 % from the amount. Tomorrow, the need for just one Bitcoin was around  $63,000. Bitcoin also hit an exciting-time a lot of $69,000 within the same month. 

Cyber attacks and fraud activities are rising in digital assets, as government officials make an effort to implement an up-to-date home security system to safeguard them from scams.
