Report: Postmates founder Bastian Lehmann launches crypto startup

Based on local news outlet FinanceFWD, German entrepreneur Bastian Lehmann is making moving in to the crypto industry with the development of a brand new startup known as “TipTop Labs.” Although details all around the venture remain unknown, its website states the firm seeks to supply “consumer finance solutions to have an emerging web.”

On its careers page, it seems that TipTop Labs is getting a blockchain engineer whose primary responsibilities include “Building protocol components that integrate across different blockchain systems,” and “leading the look and architecture of core protocols and tokens.” The firm continues to be registered within the Condition of Delaware since Feb. On his Linkedin page, Lehmann states that he’s the present founding father of a “stealth startup.”

Lehmann founded food delivery giant Postmates this year. In December 2020, Uber acquired Postmates for $2.65 billion within an all-stock deal. With that time, Postmates had grown to pay for 80% of homes within the U . s . States, using more than 600,000 restaurants for auction on its platform for deliveries and remove.

Cointelegraph formerly reported the Chinese food delivery giant Meituan Dianping is joining the nation’s central bank digital currency efforts. Around the globe, Grubhub is enabling its users to earn rewards in Bitcoin (BTC) included in its partnership with Lolli. Meanwhile, the town of Liverpool has had a desire for a blockchain-powered food delivery platform built around the Fuse blockchain.

At this era, it’s unclear if Lehman’s Tiptop Labs venture intends to integrate crypto payments or solutions in to the Postmates platform or if it’s another, stand-alone blockchain related startup.
